I took this picture of Kristen some time ago. I decided to re edit the original and add some vignetting. It's almost like a brand new picture. I have some work to do.

Too Cute

pic_3 by plsleet

It seems like 50 percent of photography is taking your camera everywhere you go, 30 percent is taking lots of pictures, 10 percent is catching the right moment and the rest is just plain luck.

Seems like I've been lucky to get some really good views lately. Thanks guys for being there!!

The Williams Family Photo Shoot

Taylor and April Williams are really good friends of ours and agreed to meet for some pictures.  We decided to meet at Chesterfield Park, located behind the Chesterfield Mall.  It was a beautifully perfect fall day.  I love their boys!

We made our way all around the park.   I think because I was so familiar with them that I didn't take as many pictures as I should have.  One big missing piece was I missed the kids playing at the playground....doh.  Hopefully they will let me shoot a few more pics soon.

As the sun was setting we got a few more pictures by the "buried man" statue.  I really liked those pictures.  Thanks again Williams family!!  Check out the pictures on flickr.

Style in the Loop!

Yesterday I was able to take some really nice pictures at the Style in the Loop event on the Delmar Loop in St. Louis.  Sarah at Ziezo sent me a very nice invitation and since it was before the Cardinals game, I decided to attend.  At 1st the traffic was very light but about 6pm, people started coming out.

I actually spent the majority of my time at Ziezo.  They had a DJ and a really great crowd.  The two models were fantastic to work with.   I was so excited about the shoot I forgot to get their contact information.  Hopefully they will see this blog posting and contact me.

It's been great building some friendships and relationship on the Delmar Loop.  If you want to see the entire collection of shots please click here.

Hannah at 7 Months!

If you couldn't tell, Hannah is 7 months pregnant.  We decided to meet at the Art Museum in St. Louis for this photo shoot.  Hannah was a real trooper.   We walked all around the Art Museum grounds up and down hills and not one complaint.

Hannah was very nice to work with.  Her pleasant disposition shows through the pictures.   The sun was setting so some of the shots had some pretty hard shadow lines.  I could have used a fill flash but didn't really want to take away from the natural feeling of the pictures.

All in all we got some great pictures.  Check them all out on flickr.

Photo Shoot at Morrell's on the Delmar Loop

One of my favorite places on the Delmar Loop is Morrell's.   If you are on the loop stop in and visit.  They have a great selection of women's dresses and accessories.  Every time we do a shoot at Morrell's the models always look stunning in the awesome outfits at Morrell's.  We have been greeted each time by Leah who is probably the friendliest person I have ever met.

At this shoot I was fortunate enough to have Angel and Amanda.   They were both very easy and fun to work with.  I think we got some pretty awesome shots!

You can check out the entire photo shoot on flickr!

My 1st Wedding: Antonio Glenn and Barbara Price

I can truly say that I love weddings!  Everyone is so happy and the occasion is the best of times.  This past Saturday was no exception.  I was invited by Danielle Glenn to photograph Antonio and Barbara's wedding.  The weather was perfect in the shade but a little warm in the sun.   They chose an outdoor location called the Bissell House Wedding Garden, located at 10255 Bellfountaine Road in St. Louis.  The location had plenty of pretty flowers and scenery.

After the wedding we went to the Bellfountaine Rec center for a reception.  I had a really nice time.   The bride and groom were so nice to work with.  I didn't seem like anyone had any demands and were just happy for their wedding day.   I also thought that the service was the perfect length with some really beautiful musical numbers.

I hope more weddings are in my future!  See all the wedding pics on flickr.  I have to find a way  to put the pictures in the proper order!

Homecoming Group Near Bellfountaine

I ran into this group on their way to homecoming.  I had just finished a shoot at a wedding on Belfountaine Road.  I hope they find their way my blog and find these pictures.

Great time with the Bosshardts!

Some time ago Greg, Heather and I agreed to meet for a photo shoot.  Both of our schedules are pretty busy but we were able to find time.  I'm actually happy we waited until the beginning of fall.   We were able to capture some pretty nice colors with the changing of the seasons.

Right in the middle of our shoot Greg found a poor goose that had been caught in fishing line.  We took some time to free the bird and a group of teenagers who initially found the suffering bird called Animal Rescue.

I love taking pictures of couples, you can just feel the love through the pictures.  Take a look at all the pictures on my flickr site.

Dirty Muggs!!

Every Tuesday night the Missouri History Museum in Forest Park hosts "Twilight in the Park"; which features a local band.  This past Tuesday was no exception when Dirty Muggs performed.  I have to admit that I have been a Parliament/Funkadelic fan ever since 1976 when I was a freshman in high school.

Since I have every album and have been to most concerts in the area, I was actually planning to be disappointed.  They broke out with "Cosmic Slop"....I couldn't believe it!!   These guys actually sounded better than the actual Funkadelic live in concert.   They had mastered the original album sound of all the popular Parliament/Funkadelic hits.   I wanted to jump up on stage and play "Do That Stuff" for them.

There is no doubt that I will be checking them out whenever I have the opportunity.   You can check out their website for a calendar of events.  I really wanted to take more pictures but they jammed so hard, that I couldn't stop dancing.   You can look at the few pictures that I did take on my flickr.

Photo Shoot with Ayanna and Angel

I actually met Ayanna, Angel and they manager, Chris, while I was shooting Michael.  We took a few pictures in some really bad lighting so I asked if we could do another shoot in the day.

I think we had a great shoot.  We met at the Grand Basin at the foot of the Art Museum in Forest Park.  The setting sun helped created some really neat shots.

Check out all the pictures on flickr.

Homecoming Picture!

I hope one of these young women or their parents remember to drop me an email I have a few other pictures from Forest Park yesterday.

Photo Shoot with Michael

I am actually surprised that I have been shooting this long and Michael is my 1st male model.  This was a great opportunity to try to create a few portrait shots as well as some action shots.  So for anyone needing portraits or senior pics....I'm on it now.

Michael was able to go from fashion to athletic at the drop of a hat.   I guess I shouldn't keep saying how much I love the weather, but being able to shoot without pouring sweat is a big deal.  It's also easier on the models.

I forgot to wear my contacts so I lost a few pictures to focus problems.  I'll get them on the next shoot.
